Since 1937, Advancial Federal Credit Union has been serving the needs of employees in the energy, oil and gas industries through its SEG-based charter. Today, Advancial serves approximately 70,000 members in a broader variety of industries through its headquarters in Dallas, Texas, with branches in Alaska, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Advancial is dedicated to providing their members with unbiased financial advice. As part of that dedication, they have invested in providing timely, relevant content to their members on a regular basis.
In 2005, Advancial was preparing to add a publication for teens to their existing kids' publication, Trea$ure Che$t, and member publication, Source. Because of their experience creating Source in-house, they knew producing the teen publication would be time-consuming. Advancial decided it was time to find a new partner to launch the new publication. They chose BlueSpire Strategic Marketing because of their reputation and content expertise. To streamline the process even further, BlueSpire was also chosen to handle the kids' publication, Trea$ure Che$t, which had been handled by another vendor.
One year after moving Trea$ure Che$t and launching Dinero Exchange, BlueSpire’s quick turnaround and quality content had impressed the Advancial team so much they decided to move their existing member publication, Source, to BlueSpire. Three years later, Advancial made the decision to introduce an email version of Source and enhance their relationships with the organizations they serve by introducing reSource, a publication for Advancial partner organizations who have been added to Advancial's SEG-based charter. Both projects were sent to BlueSpire.
Today, BlueSpire and Advancial work together each quarter to customize BlueSpire award-winning content and create custom content for various Advancial publications so that members and member organizations can receive timely, relevant content to help them make better financial decisions. Like many financial institutions, Advancial is working to grow their email list, but is already seeing success. The most recent results show an open rate of 59.7% and a unique click through rate of 20.2%.
BlueSpire has helped Advancial streamline an entire portfolio of engaging member publications that aim to educate. Every quarter, members in various life stages and diverse Advancial member organizations interact with the content in Advancial publications, further enhancing their relationships with the credit union.
